🌞 Tips with Edward the Turtle 🐢
This Week’s Topic: Sun Safety for a Sizzling Summer!

Hey there, little explorers! It’s me, Edward the Turtle, your slow-but-wise pal who loves a sunny day — but knows just how powerful the sun can be!

When the weather gets warm, it’s time for adventure! But just like I carry my shell to stay safe, you need some tools to protect yourself too. Here’s some tips to enjoy summer without getting too hot!

🌊 1. Hydrate Like a Hero!
Running, swimming, digging, and biking can make you sweat a lot! That’s why it’s super important to drink water all day.
🧊 Edward’s Tip: Keep a cool water bottle with you and take sips often — even if you’re not thirsty yet. Water is your body’s superhero fuel!

🧴 2. Slather on the Sunscreen!
The sun’s rays can give you burns — even when you can’t feel them right away. That’s why sunscreen is like a magical armor for your skin.
🧴 Edward’s Rule: Use sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, and ask an adult to help rub it on everywhere the sun might kiss — face, arms, ears, neck, legs, and even the tops of your feet! Reapply every 2 hours (or after swimming).

⏰ 3. Shade Is Great Between 10 and 4!
The sun is strongest between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. That’s the time to be a shade-seeking turtle!
🌳 Edward’s Move: Chill under a tree, use a big umbrella, or take a break indoors during those hours.

👕 4. Dress to Stay Cool (and Look Cool Too!)
Dark clothes soak up heat, but light-colored, loose-fitting clothes help you stay breezy and bright.
👚 Edward’s Pick: A white cotton tee and some comfy shorts keep you cool like a cucumber!

🧢 5. Top It Off with a Hat!
Your head and face need extra shade. A wide-brimmed hat can block the sun and keep you from getting overheated.
🧢 Edward’s Hat Hack: Choose one that covers your ears and neck too — turtle-approved!

Final Shell Thought:
Being safe in the sun helps you keep playing longer without the burn or ouchies. So remember, water + sunscreen + shade + cool clothes + a snazzy hat = a summer superstar!

Catch you on the shady side,
Edward the Turtle 🐢
Slow and steady (and sun-safe) wins the day!
