Birthday Party FAQ
FAQ — Birthday Parties at the Museum
Below you will find answers to the frequently asked questions about the Museum’s Birthday Parties.
Q: Do you have any recommendations for food to bring to the party?
Yes! We’ve had several birthday parties order from the following local businesses: Marinos Pizza, West Ave. Pizza, and Spring Street Deli & Pizzeria.
We suggest to have pizza/food delivered at the beginning of the party in case of late deliveries. Party staff can receive pizza at the door and bring it to the party room as long as it is pre-paid.
Q: What does the typical birthday party at the Museum look like schedule-wise?
You are able to schedule the 1.5 hour time slot however you’d like. Staff recommend beginning the party with food/cake, leaving the remainder of the time for play.
Q: Can adults bring alcoholic beverages?
No. The Museum strictly prohibits any alcohol consumption on our property and inside the Museum. Furthermore, smoking and vaping is also strictly prohibited.
Q: Can we bring food and drinks upstairs to the exhibit floor?
The Museum asks that all food and drink (except water) stay on the first floor. This helps to keep our friends with allergies safe and keeps our exhibits clean.
Q: What is expected of Museum staff?
Our staff is there to assist you during your party! You will have an assigned staff member to help with set-up, clean up, and make announcements for food/cake if necessary.
While our staff is there to assist, they are not expected to retrieve items from your car, blow up balloons, serve food, supervise children/guests, etc.
Q: Can I decorate for the party?
Yes! However, to protect the historic nature of the building, decorations must only be hung on pillars and any tiled surface. Decorations are not allowed to be hung on painted walls.
The Museum is closed on most major holidays.
You can check our social media for additional information for specific holiday hours.
