Due to limited capacity, pre-registration is required. Each family will be spaced 6 feet apart, required to wear a mask, and receive their own set of materials. Programs are free with admission.

Outdoor Programs

Story Time
Best suited for children ages 2 – 5

Join us for our preschool literacy and language program. Each week we’ll read a different book, allowing your child to create real world connections as they familiarize themselves with the alphabet, new vocabulary words, and rhymes. With each story comes a hands-on creation to help capture the moment, making all the more memorable.

What are we learning: Language Proficiency, Communication Skills, Listening Skills, and Fine Motor Skills.

Science Explorers
Best suited for children ages 3 & up

Discover the many ways science is all around us in a program that is designed to spark curiosity and create those surprising “aha” moments for children that can last a lifetime. Whether children are experimenting with smells, designing an air powered car, or experimenting with color and dyes, these multi-sensory activities foster curiosity, creativity and problem-solving skills. This program is sponsored by National Grid.

What are we learning: Cognitive Development, Early Science and Early Math Skills, Fine Motor Skills, Focus, Perseverance, Problem Solving Skills, Critical Thinking Skills.

Seasonal Programs

Beetle and Butterfly Club
Best suited for children ages 3 & up

Get your hands dirty in this amazing program that will have us gardening, learning about plants, and investigating pollinators. In Spring, young minds will discover the important role plants play in our lives as we manage our garden space and learn what it takes to have a successful garden. In Summer, we’ll focus on pollinators when we get a few ladybugs and butterflies to watch grow and then release to help pollinate our garden. As the days start to drift into Fall, we’ll get ready to harvest our garden to make food and other fun experiments. Every attendee will receive a certificate at the end of the season.

Art Adventures
Best suited for children ages 2 & up

This is an creative space where children and their families can make art together. Each week, we offer a multi-sensory craft that encourages self-expression and experimentation with different art mediums.

What are we learning: Communication Skills, Observation, Creative Expression, Visual and Spatial Thinking, Fine Motor Skills.

Tuesday for Tots
Best suited for children ages 2 – 5

Join us for this fun and educational time for some of our littlest visitors! Experiment together with art, science, language and math early learning activities that support early childhood learning. Children can practice important skills like taking turns and making a friend as they explore the different stations that promote school readiness, social connections, and skill development.

What are we learning: Fine and Gross Motor Skills, Social and Emotional Maturity, Early Literacy and Early Math Skills
